What I would like to see from this blog

Hey guys, Daniel here.  Wow, I just started this blog and it has already been a month since my last post....slacker!  One of the reasons for the lack of posts right now is the lack of outside climbing available due to the weather (already I'm making excuses).

I do have some good ideas for some posts coming up and ideas for the general direction of this blog.

First and foremost I want to share information about all the amazing climbing in the Bitterroots.  This includes information established climbs and areas as well as new development going on presently.  There is a lot out there and information can be hard to come by.  I would love to see other people contributing info on this site if they would like to share.  You can email me with any pictures, beta, or info that you would like to see posted on this blog for other people to see.  If you contribute often I can even add you as an author.

Another thing I am planning on is a series of posts about local climbers.  There are a lot of great climbers in the area who have really awesome and inspiring stories.  If you have anyone you'd like to learn about shoot me an email or a comment and I'll see if I can get an interview.

I would also love to get some dialog and discussion in the comments.  Obviously there need to be some posts up to discuss first.

Is there anything that you would like to see?

Last, a disclaimer.  Anything listed as a FA in an already established area is our best guess.  When you clean a bunch of lichen and loose holds off a boulder/route and remove large dead trees from the landing area then send it, it feels safe to call it a FA.  However, there have been a lot of climbers over the years in the Bitterroots and there is the possibility that someone may have climbed it dirty without a clean fall zone in the past.  We are not trying to take credit away from somebody else.  If you have better information about any climbs we have highlighted in this blog please let us know.

Here is a picture of a roof near Baker Lake that is begging for a few routes to be put up on it this summer.  In the picture you can see the roof and what looks like the top of a boulder.  What you can't see is the 40+ feet of climbing above the other side of the roof.  We can't wait to get back to this!!
